The Breakfast Baker is responsible for assisting the Head/1st Cook in preparing breakfast items outlined in a predetermined menu plan. They must be able to work fast yet diligently with a focus on consistency while open to direction. A moderate amount of heavy lifting with unloading freight deliveries some physical fitness would be an attribute. Comfort with kitchen equipment and knife skills are required.
Minimum 1 to 2 year baking experience
Food Safe certification
Speak, read and write English
Completion of High School
Team player and are able to provide support, motivation and encouragement to others
Excellent attention to detail and well developed organizational skills
Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and in a team environment
Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Baking pastries, muffins, cookies, and snacks
Food preparation as per the Head/1st Cook requests
Assisting with inventory counts or prepared items and what is required to Head/1st Cook
Coffee service, stocking beverage coolers, snacks, filling napkin dispensers, condiments etc.
Cleaning and organizing the kitchen, coolers, freezers, and dry storage as directed
Set up lunch box station
Sweeping and mopping floors, wiping tables and counters
Washing dishes, pots, pans and changing garbage
Breaking down cardboard boxes
Report to supervisor concerning all issues related to food, equipment and staff
