Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting with overall camp cleanliness and sanitation. They must be able to work diligently and under pressure. Housekeeping Supervisor should be organized and have good time management skills. They must also be able to lead by example and have high expectations for the employee. Dealing with employee issues and conflict resolution will be required.

Job Qualifications

Minimum 1 to 2 years housekeeping and supervising experience
Great communication
Speak, read and write English
Completion of High School
Team player and are able to provide support, motivation and encouragement to others
Excellent attention to detail and well developed organizational skills
Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and in a team environment
Maintain a professional appearance at all times
Works safely and responsibly

General Duties and Responsibilities

Provides first class customer service
Schedule and supervise housekeeping employees
Maintain and monitor inventory and records
Train new employees
Prepare weekly chemical orders, consult Head/1st Cook regarding kitchen requirements
Administering and receiving constructive feedback from both clients and LandSea employees
Facilitating safety meetings and reporting injuries or safety hazards

Living Quarter Duties

Make beds, remove garbage, and dust shelving
Rooms get swept every day and mopped every other day
Stairs, mud room, hallway, and entrances should be swept or vacuumed twice a day
Complete linen, comforter and towel exchange for tenants who are in camp for more than 7 days
Check inbound and outbound list to see who is leaving and which rooms need to be fully changed over.
Report changes and cleaned items onto ManTracker

Bathroom Duties

Ensure bathrooms are cleaned entirely each day; floors, toilets, shower stalls, sinks and mirrors
Replenish toilet paper, paper towel, and soap
Remove garbage
Return in the late evening and do a general clean up for the morning, wipe counter tops and remove garbage
Bathroom floors are to be swept and mopped every day
Check shower curtains to see if they need changed and cleaned
Keep the laundry room tidy for other tenants; sweep daily and mop every other day
Keep linen storage clean and organized
General housekeeping never stops, always touch up areas that you see need cleaned again

Kitchen/Diner/Coffee Room

Clean daily
Clean after breakfast and dinner
Bring any dishes or cutlery to dishwasher
Wipe down dining room tables after breakfast and dinner
Restock condiments, and general dining room clean up
Mop dining room floor and coffee room floor each morning after breakfast

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors

Additional Duties

Monitoring uniform exchange program, when staff depart after their shift they should give two uniforms in. When that employee returns they should get those same uniforms back.
Different tasks may arise at the last minute, be available to complete and assist other staff with all tasks they require
Assisting with camp shutdown and relocation
